First numbered series of one of the most famous reels of all time. This is the number 280 out of 500. In all equal to the traditional Golden Featherweight, it differs only for the inscriptions engraved and gilded on the body “First Edition Serial No. 280”.

It has a diameter of 2 “and 7/8 and a weight of 4 oz, equal to 113 grams, it can contain a DT4 + 25 meters of backing from 18 lbs or a WF5 + 40 meters of backing always of 18 lbs, as reported the Hardy catalog of 1989.
