Hardy L.R.H. Dry Fly 8′ 9 # 6 (3pz.)

Fine split-cane fly rod by Hardy, produced in Alnwick in 1968, serial number J5532. This is the classic L.R.H. Dry Fly model, 8’9” for a #6 line, built in three pieces with two tips from selected Palakona split cane, following the historic craftsmanship of the English maker. The L.R.H. Dry Fly series is widely regarded as one of the most balanced and refined configurations of its time for dry-fly trout fishing.

The rod retains all its original period components: Hardy ferrules, traditional wraps, shaped cork handle and the reel seat fitted with the characteristic “spear-point” used for greasing silk fly lines.

A rod of great elegance and craftsmanship, highly sought after by collectors of vintage Hardy tackle, especially in such outstanding condition. An authentic example of the finest English rod-making of the second half of the twentieth century.
