FLYFISHING – CANEROD – COLLECTING

Classiccane.com

This is the new version of Classiccane.com, a website dedicated to fly fishing. After so many years it needed a change in graphics and content. The information function, indispensable at the beginning of the new millennium (Classiccane.com is on the web since far 2003 …), is nowadays carried out by many other web realities. Not least the social networks, which in real time are interesting exchange of ideas and news in the field of fly fishing and construction of flies and bamboo roods. The portals of associations and clubs and groups, especially on Facebook, carry out an important activity of connection between the rodmakers, collectors, anglers and fly tiers.

Classiccane.com can then finally concentrate on the very personal presentation of fly fishing according to my point of view. The new graphic version of the site is designed precisely for this function. While not giving up the information function, the new Classiccane.com aims to visually involve the viewer. Some sections of the “Gallery” (for example “Bamboo rods“) and the “Photo” and “Video” pages have been conceived in a new way for this purpose.

News of the new Classiccane

Progressively all the other pages already present in the menu will be implemented, but each will have, as far as possible, a very personal imprint. Unlike the Classiccane 2003 this new version 2017 wants to be a glimpse of fly fishing, filtered from my point of view which, as is inevitable, is absolutely subjective.

The pictures of the most important rods, the most beautiful flies and the most famous places will not necessarily be illustrated. Will be shown the rods, flies and places that represent something important for me and for the days spent fishing. They will take precedence my rods and those of the rodmakers that have inspired me or that still inspire me; the flies I use and my heart places. Classiccane 2017 is therefore a more personal version of the beloved fly fishing.

Finally I will introduce new pages inside the Gallery including “Collectible grafite rods” and “Fiberglass rods“. Here will be presented those reeds, which although not in bamboo, have for their characteristic the pleasantness of use and refined aesthetics. A soul all in all common to bamboo canes.
